Lord God of truth, thank You for lovingly warning us of the danger of apostasy. Enlarge our appreciation of such "unpopular" promises. Please help us to cherish the truth of Your word. Give us a heart to know Your word. Sharpen our discernment concerning error. Keep our hearts and our message anchored in the truth of scripture, Amen.

Dear Lord, You are the true living stone, stable and loving. So often we are unstable and unloving. we need to be built up as a living stone. We need to be more like You. Lord, help us to come to You daily, habitually. When we are studying the scriptures, praying, worshiping, or serving, help us to seek You in and through it all, in Your mighty name we pray, Amen.
