Lord God of eternity, as we alternate between the battles and blessings of life, help us to view the future by faith. Remind us that Your everlasting purposes can guide and shape our temporal circumstances, in Jesus name, Amen.

¹⁶ But now they desire a better country , that is, a heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God; for he hath prepared for them a city.)

Lord God, the only true and living God, we regret those times that the world has drawn our attention away from our heavenly homeland. we cry out to You — please anchor our hearts in heaven above, that we might thereby please You in our  pilgrimage here on earth below, Amen.

⁹ By faith he became a sojourner in the land of promise, as in a land not his own, dwelling in tents, with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:

¹⁰ for he looked for the city which hath the foundations, whose builder and maker is God.)

Lord God of Abraham, for any changes that You want to lead US into, we want to trust You, as Abraham did. Lord, for all of our sojourn here on earth, we look to You to keep us and use us — as we await Your return, Amen.

Dear God of heaven and earth, we desire to please You by a life of faith here on earth. Help us to walk closely with You day by day throughout our pilgrimage here below. We eagerly anticipate the day that we will forever be with You in the fullness of Your glorious presence in heaven above, Amen.
